Charleston Expansion

atching the brick and mortar to the original façade, a 1920s Georgian house was updated to include a casual kitchen-family room and a new master suite. Old and new are seamlessly integrated via a deep, arched jam connecting the original entrance hall to the rear kitchen and family room.

The enlarged and updated kitchen includes custom cabinetry and on adjacent breakfast room. Flanking the granite fireplace of the living room, French doors open onto an outdoor sitting room-porch with a raised stone hearth. Above, a two-story, Charleston side yard porch with Chippendale railing extends from the master suite to overlook the courtyard and gardens.
